Call: Solids [Base] -> Rotate [Rotate...]..

    [Note]Note

A rotation axis [Rotation axis] is required to rotate the 2D sketch. If this has not yet been defined in the Sketcher [Sketcher], the following error message appears when you call up the Rotate... [Rotate...] command.

The rotation axis [Rotation axis] is shown as a dashed line in the 3D view of the sketch.

-> The Rotating body [Rotational solid] window opens.

    [Note]Note

Hold down CTRL while clicking the corresponding Quick Access icon in the 3D History [3D History] to perform the action immediately and skip the input dialog.

  2. Specify the criteria (angle [Angle], etc.) for the rotation and confirm with OK. Please refer to Section 7.6.2.6.1, “ Extrude... ” for an explanation of the other fields.

-> The directory tree in the 3D history [3D History] is extended by the item Base rotate 1.

    [Note]Note

You can change the name using the context menu command Rename. However, only use ANSI characters (in simple terms: a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and spaces).

-> In the 3D view, you can see that the two-dimensional representation of the rectangle has become a cylinder due to rotation.
