8.2.2. Administrative setup of the functionality

  1. An export condition [Export condition] for users is used in the described workflow. This is not necessary for the administration (standards body).

    User role:

    (ERP_PDM_NUMBER.NE.'')

    Meaning: The ERP_PDM_NUMBER must not be empty.

    As a result, the status display for the user without an existing ERP number in the respective table row is red.

  2. The functions available to the user and the administration (standards body) must be adapted accordingly.

  3. Set up e-mail notification:

    The following description is role-independent, which is usually preferable. However, it is also possible to set up the e-mail notification depending on the role. See Section 7.3, “ Roles: Tabbed page "E-Mail" ”

    1. Call up PARTlinkManager and select Configure ERP environment in the Extras menu.

      -> The Configure dialog box opens.

    2. Select the PARTdataManager settings [PARTdataManager preferences] tab.

      Make the settings under Email notification [e-mail notification].

      • Template file (optionally customizable):

        Path to the default template file:

        $CADENAS_SETUP/linkdbtemplate_$(CADENAS_LANGUAGE).html

      • Recipient [Receiver]: e.g. e-mail address of the standards body

      • Subject line: e.g. "New ERP number"

      • Mail server: Address of the company's internal mail server

  4. Set up dialog for Request ERP number or Add to link database: The same settings are used for both.
