7.9.3.6.4.  Insert N-corner

Insert N-Corner [Insert N-sided polygon]

Create an N-corner using the center point [Center point], radius [Radius] and starting angle [Start angle].

  1. Select center point [Choose center point] and select radius [Choose radius]:

Click on the desired center point (not visible!) and drag the N-corner with the cursor.

    [Note]Note

The center of [Center point] an N-corner does not represent a catch later!

A corner of the polygon will lie at the cursor position and thus determine the start angle [Start angle] (which you can change later in the Edit element dialog). If the point is horizontal, the start angle [Start angle] is 0°.

    [Note]Note

If you want the center point to snap to the grid, you must activate Snap to grid in the quick settings.

Snap onto the grid [Snap to grid]

Snap onto the grid [Snap to grid]

    [Note]Note

If you want the width across flats to snap to certain increments, you must activate Scalar parameters in the settings.

    "Scalar parameters [Scalar parameters]" activated

  2. Moving the mouse pointer in a circle around the center point changes the number of corners.

The smaller the angle between the auxiliary lines, the greater the number of corners.

  3. Fix the number of corners with a mouse click.

-> The individual values of the N-corner are displayed in the Edit element docking window and can be adjusted if necessary.

    • Center point X:

    • Center point Y:

    • Radius: (this always refers to the radius of the outer circle of the N-corner)

    • Quantity [Count]: Number of corners

    • Starting angle [Start angle]: The starting angle is measured between the horizontal and right-hand corner of the N-corner.
