1.10.1.3.2.7.  3D history: Copy elements to another layer
Use
  1. Select one or more elements in the 3D history [3D History].

  2. On one of the selected elements, open the context menu.

  3. Click on copy to.... [Copy to...]

    -> A list of possible planes is shown, where the selection can be inserted.

  4. Click on the desired plane.

    -> The elements selected before are inserted.

    Sketch 2 and 3 have been inserted as sketch 4 and 5.

    Sketch 2 and 3 have been inserted as sketch 4 and 5.

If elements have been selected which cannot be copied a respective hint is displayed.

Elements which can be copied
  • Sketches

  • Bases (Base-Extrude, Base-Rotate)

  • Cuts (Cut-Extrude, Cut-Rotate)

  • Planes (Offset and Rotational planes)

  • Patterns

  • Pipe runs

  • Texts

  • Sweeps (only if refplanes of both sketches are copied as well)

Elements which cannot be copied
  • Blends

  • Drawings

  • Absolute planes (including XY, ZX, YZ)

  • Sweeps (except if refplanes of both sketches are selected as well)

[Note]Note
  • It is tried to keep dependency-tree structures alive after copy, if necessary elements are selected as well.

  • Selecting a Base/Cut/Sweep will automatically copy its Sketch, too.

  • Selecting a Sketch, but not selecting its Base/Cut/Sweep will only copy the sketch.
